Perfect sea view from room, but noise from the beach at night
Reviewed By Katja_nskThis hotel is located at Daecheon beach, actually, as close to the beach as possible, some 10 meters from the sand. This, and the view are the best things about this hotel and main reasons why we chose it. I believe, all rooms have sea view. I just loved to sit on my room balcony and take in the view. Gwanggaeto hotel is in the Northern part of the beach, where most hotels are (as opposed to motels and minbaks). We did not book anything, just walked in there and got a room for 100 000 KRW (were too lazy to bargain, but I guess you can lower it down to 90 000 or even 80 000 KRW). We were offered a room on 7th floor which had a double bed and an attic with stairs where one more person could be slept. The room and bathroom were clean and more or less modern. We had an electric kettle and cups, towels, toothbrushes, shampoos etc., but the fridge in our room was smelly and did not work at first. They repaired it quickly, though. Aircon and TV are also present in the room, but we did not turn on those. We also had a balcony with a small table and 2 chairs. Wi-fi worked fine and free of charge. There is a seafood restaurant in the hotel, and many many seafood restaurants in the vicinity.7/11 and similar convenience shops are also nearby. The main negative point of staying here is that at night people at the beach set off fireworks, and it is very noisy and hard to sleep. Of course, the hotel is not responsible for that, and the same will be experienced in any hotel as close to the beach as Gwanggaeto. But if we stay here again, we will probably have to bring ear plugs.

Trip to the beach
Reviewed By Kasey SThe staff was very helpful, let us use their back room to change and hold out belongings since we arrived earlier then check in time. It was a great location right down the road from the beach. The only bad thing was the beds were hard as a rock woke up in a lot of pain.
