Top location, top value and top hosts.

I had a return visit to this b&b and can confirm nothing has changed …. It’s still a smashing place to stay in the village of betws-y-coed. Ben and Sarah are great hosts and will do anything to make your stay a good one. The breakfast is from 8-9am which allows for a sleep in for me anyway. The cooked English breakfast is really nice using fresh local ingredients, but if you want cereal, yoghurt, toast and fruit that is on offer too ! The b&b is well appointed and I thought it represented outstanding value, again I really enjoyed my stay.

30th Birthday, PERFECT WEEKEND!

Reviewed By jeffS9574KP

Staying at The Courthouse with my girlfriend for my 30th birthday was one of the best weekends of my life. Situated in Snowdonia with breath taking views, The Courthouse achieves a perfect balance of maintaining the historic themes of the building, whilst offering modern day technology amenities (Smart TV, touch screen lamps and even a touch screen mirror!) that will leave any visitor feeling comfort to the highest degree. Pair this with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, you'll find yourself looking forward to returning after a long trek to the summit of Snowdon. Perhaps the location and building itself would earn a 5* rating, however the true charm and what makes The Courthouse so memorable, was the first class service provided by Richard and Tanya. You may, as I have in the past, experienced staying in a B&B where the host can be somewhat intrusive in trying to make you feel comfortable, or opposingly totally negligent to the point where you feel unwelcomed. Richard really sets the standard for how to host a B&B and has mastered this to a fine art; friendly, polite, attentive, considerate and a genuine desire to make your stay one that you will remember for years... but let's not give him all the credit, are we forgetting the superwoman behind the scenes here? Upon arrival, Tanya had dressed our room in Happy Birthday banners with a bottle of prosecco on the side. I'm not one for big celebrations, but I must admit... I LOVED IT! Not only that, the following morning we came down to breakfast in the shared lounge to find further celebration banners for my birthday (see picture) and finally upon returning after climbing Snowdon, there was even a birthday card left for me from Richard and Tanya. The thoughtfulness and extra mile both Richard and Tanya go to is exactly why I wouldn't bother even considering anywhere else within the area, you simply won't find hosts who care to this degree. Finally... the breakfast was incredible! Thank you so much Richard and Tanya, that weekend will stay with me for years.

Stayed here with my partner in the King room with en-suite. Check in was super easy, with great instructions prior to check in. Met Sarah who was lovely, chatty and full of info on places to eat and what to see. The room was gorgeous - clean and comfy. The bed was so comfy, had a great nights sleep. Fresh towels, tea and coffee and a TV in the room. The b&b itself is so pretty too. Really nicely decorated. Breakfast was fabulous, vegetarian and vegan options available, everything cooked to order. Dans a great cook, and again, had a nice chat with him! Such attentive hosts who had our best interests at heart. Would definitely recommend staying here and we’ll 100% stay again in the future! The location is great for exploring. Thanks for a great stay! X

HORRENDOUS

This place is an utter dive. Avoid at all costs. The owner was rude, the place was filthy, and mouldy, the 'view' was a joke (we got told it was a room with a view, for which, please see picture) - this is quite honestly the worst place I have ever visited in my life. We packed our bags up and left after seeing the room and had to pay even though we didn't stay there because it was feral. We feel utterly conned and hope to convince anyone not to stay there. We ended up in a fabulous place not very far away. Don't be fooled.

Comfortable double bed & clean rooms We loved the breakfast, juices, cereals, yogurts and cooked traditional full english of your choice which helped to set us up for the day! Perfect location for climbing Snowdon & short drive to the coast. Would highly recommend, would stay again. Thank you both :)

Wonderful B&B

I had a great experience with Dolweunydd B&B. I made a last minute booking, and Paul and Helena took great care of me. I was traveling solo and felt wonderfully safe and cared for here! Paul gave great recommendations of things to do in the area, and Helena cooked a delicious breakfast. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! I left feeling like I made two new friends. I would highly recommend this location to all travelers to this area of Wales.
