The best available Bed and Breakfast Inns to stay near Batu Ferringhi

The beaches are a huge draw, but there’s so much more to do in this Malaysian hotspot. Frolic with the delicate residents of a butterfly farm, then explore the fragrant landscape of tropical spice garden and fruit farms. The massive collection of dolls, games and models at the Toy Museum brings joy to kids and kids at heart. Save some energy for the Night Market, a lively scene of stalls where good-natured bargaining skills come in handy.

Very clean, spacious accommodation

Reviewed By sebK5650QG

We had a nice stay as a family in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with lovely views. We enjoyed relaxing in the large infinity pool, which backs on to the beach (which is much nicer than some travel books claim). This apartment is also well located right in the centre of BF, so within easy walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets etc. Next door is the Boatman restaurant - very friendly people, highly recommended for breakfasts (dinner great there too).

Wednesday night stay in Batu Ferringhi

Reviewed By JP F

What I like about the room is the bathroom. I love the waterfall shower. The room was clean and there was enough space for me. The location is very hard to find. ZEN rooms is an agency, the venue is actually called Rooms Suites and is situated on the second floor of Eden Parade (mini)mall. I stayed in room 807, with an interesting view of the corridor of the mall if you open your curtains. The room looks much bigger in the pictures, and I did not get the red ZEN bag you see in the pictures. The breakfast was an egg sandwhich, which was OK, but to start from 9:00 is abit too late for me. I did not appreciate the no-shoe policy either, offer at least some slippers. It was also difficult to sleep at night, because there was too much noise coming from either the bar (karaoke bar next door), other rooms or from the front desk (talking on the phone, or watching TV, listening to music...). When I was trying to check out at noon, nobody was at the lobby, so I had to wait for the lady to get my 50 RM back. Overall, it's a good and affordable hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights rather than in George Town whilst on a visa run. Rooms are comfortable if in need of a lick of paint. The staff are very accommodating and the one night we ate downstairs in the cafe was ok. It has to be said though that food in the local hawker stalls and food courts is far superior and much better value for money. Also the tiresome and ever present haggling over room rates needs to stop. We eventually paid 80myr on an asking price of 100myr but only after we walked off down the street. Having a well advertised and set room rate would definitely attract more visitors. With the beach not far away and excellent food to be found close by as well this is a good option on a budget. Recommended.
