The best hotel in Chachapoyas. The best facilities totally renovated, excellently located, beautifully decorated and with the best quality of service. We also have shared and private tours and transfers services in English and Spanish.
Nice old venue
Reviewed By Bruno VNice hotel in an old Casona (an old colonial building) with an inner patio and a small garden at the back. Rooms are large, a bit cold, because of the huge walls. We had a double room, but actually it was like a duplex with three more single beds on the upper floor. The bathroom was small but newly installed, with a wc, and shower with really hot water. The restaurant serves classical peruvian food. There were no cocktails available because they had no bar tender. They had just reopened the restaurant after the Covid lockdown. Breakfast is rather poor: one egg, some bread with cheese and marmelad, a small juice and coffee or tea. Breakfast is served (no buffet) because of Covid restrictions. Personnel at the reception was kind and helpful (e.g. they readily printed our boarding passes). No elevator to the first floor though. And the street is pedestrian, so you have to walk half a block to get to the hotel. Two blocks from the Main Square. There are some restaurants and coffee bars within two or three blocks.

Tambo Sapalanchan is a small hotel, located in the city of Lamud, near all the sites of interest for the tourist, such as Kuelap, Gocta Falls, Karajia, Leymebamba Museum, etc. Quiet, surrounded by mountains, perfect to rest after your tours. Run by it owners.
Lovely Lunch and Location
Reviewed By PTononWhile traveling on a group trip through Encounter Peru, we stopped at Tambo sapalanchan for a pre arranged lunch. The hotel is exquisite with artifacts from many different places. Our lunch was delicious and they readily made accomodations for the two gluten free travelers. We toured the hotel and found the rooms to be lovely. I would definitely stay there!!

En si nos llevamos un gran recuerdo gracias a toda la amabilidad y cordialidad de las personas. ♥️ La ubicación también nos ayudó a encontrar restaurantes más rápido y pudimos descansar súper tranquilos. Gran atención!!!

Bit disappointed
Reviewed By pikesonbikesThe location is wonderful near the main square. The place is impeccably clean (I wish they didn’t change my towel everyday). BUT at 120soles per night for a triple this place is overpriced for what you get. The shower is luke warm and when we asked for hot water they simply came and felt the water and said it was fine. The photos suggested there was more of a garden courtyard but actually it is just a car park. The breakfast is ok with a choice of continental, americano or local but the coffee is watery and they only give you a single bit of bread and barely enough butter and jam.
