Reviewed By Lizziewhizzie40We stayed here for a week and the end of a full sightseeing tour of Italy as we wanted a place to relax in complete peace and quiet. We got it here??. Unfortunately due to the current pandemic the hotel was not fully open so there was no bar or restaurant on site but that did not detract from what we wanted from our stay as Vito our host was on hand with bottles of beer, water and snacks and will recommend and take you to various different restaurants throughout your stay. He will also order you a takeaway to have either in the restaurant area or on your terrace. He even cooked for us when the takeaway we chose was closed due to a family bereavement. Recommended sights to see while you are on Ischia are the castle, gardens of mortella, forio and posidon beach (where vito runs a shuttle to every day) The rooms are spacious and simple and the pool small and cold which is a perfect compliment to the numerous amount of sunbeds located all round the rest of the hotel which is a complete sun trap. I do have to say that due to its location it is designed as a relaxing simple hotel for adults who wish to relax and is not geared towards children although families are welcome. All in all a great stay.

Reviewed By Elaine BCurrently staying at Sorriso Therme in a room in the off site accommodation. It is excellent and we have a massive balcony from which we can see the main hotel and pool area. The breakfast has a great selection of continental and hot food on offer buffet style. All the staff are very helpful and speak English very well. The dinner is 4 courses which you pre order at breakfast time so dinner service is quick and efficient. We used the spa and had the spa area to ourselves which was excellent and made us feel very safe from the threat of Covid. You can hire wonderful toweling gowns for use around the pool and spa. Covid precautions are adhered to but it doesn’t spoil our enjoyment in fact it makes you feel very comfortable and safe. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and you can travel all around the island very easily I have to say reading some of the earlier reviews I can’t understand the complaints people made because our experience had been excellent

Reviewed By ElorosendoReally bad for a 3-star hotel. Dirty bathroom and room. No remote control for AC, phone was broken so no direct contact with the reception. It looks it was a good hotel in the beginning of 00’s but now is just disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend it. Not worthy for the money spent.

Our room had an incredible sea view that allowed us to celebrate in the best romantic way our anniversary. We chose half board because we wanted to go around the island to see new places, but we highly recommend both lunch and dinner inside the hotel! They were really delicious! Last but not least, the 2 thermal pools made our holiday super relaxing. Just what we wanted! Thanks for everything and see you soon! HRP2062 Bruno & Noemi

Wonderful Staff and Great Food
Reviewed By markhartley98I have just returned from a family holiday at the Hotel Galidon. It was fantastic! The hotel and staff are great and the food is fresh, local and superb. The atmosphere is very relaxed, friendly and family oriented. We all particularly enjoyed the outdoor thermal pool where we were looked after by the one and only Tule who makes the best coffee in Ischia as well as the most amazing Bruschetta with sweet juicy tomatoes and locally sourced Mozzarella and home grown Basil! We will definitely be going back!!!

Healthy and Happy in Ischia
Reviewed By ADN_GrahamChrystal clear cleanliness and sparkling safe service, we enjoyed the hotel in Ischia once again this year which worked through the 2020 summer Sars-Covid19 campaign. As usual we were made welcome and comfortable by the hotels loyal staff, who this year went out of their way to make our stay special. With the new generation of this brilliantly run family botanical spa now in management, the regular staff are always on hand attend to your needs. Lucio for his logistics support, Mimmo for his poolside assistance, Antonio and Nicola at the bar, and Antje in the beauty centre continue to provide excellent service. We are grateful to have spent another 2-week summer holiday with them again this year, 20 years later and we still return every year.

Mezmerized by comfort and value of holiday
Reviewed By svenssons82Actually i found this hotel by chance on google maps. We couldn't have had a better holiday. You find all the reasons for it in the other positive reviews but i simply like to add my review out of gratefulness... And i'ld like the owners to know what a great staff they have i.e. have chosen (but sure they know). The food is great because honest and real: fresh fish is being delivered same day, no strange things like cherry tomatoes on fish filets or basil or parmesan on the seafood which tourists introduced in other areas. This is the kind of cuisine of my childhood when i visited my nonna in Italy. And our children loved it as well! Beside that, as the other reviews mention, great staff, friendly, attentive, able to make own decisions without asking three other managers like in other hotels. From the cleaning staff to receptionists and driver: just great. Small note: and despite the fact we didn't think about the kid's club before it was a real treat to us and our boys had a great time even if they don't speak Italian (the staff there also know some other languages and the atmosphere was simply good). Almost all rooms are renovated but i'ld also take a old room here.

I'd like to say not so good as I wanted
Reviewed By AlexkozhThe hotel is too simple to enjoy with all things you wish to have for your full happiness. At first there isn't any territory to go for a walk, but only the way to the dinner hall and back and the possibility to swim in two pools (open and close) with termal water of different temperatures (more hot water is in the close one). It seemed to me the food is the most weak part of the hotel. No, you can eat all food you have chosen, but it's not tasty. And what especially sad that you can get absolutely fine food if you are not very lazy and ready to stand in line otherwise it will pass you by. I meant only having a dinner because the breakfast and lunch are the same for everyone. About the sea I can tell that it's not very comfortable to reach the one only by small bus every time you want to do it. It is because the hotel is on the hill and it is too far from the beach to walk. The beach does not belong to the hotel, it is for everyone but it has a very nice soft sand and I liked it very much. The sea water was warm and clean and I've got a great pleasure to swim. So I can recommend this hotel for those tourists who isn't ready to spend a lot of money but can be contented with that conditions I have described.
