We are a small private charitable trust ensuring that the legacy of 'The One, The Few and The Many' is not lost; but appreciated, celebrated and commemorated for many years to come. Bentley Prior ticks so many boxes....mansion house, royal residence, WW2 Battle of Britain, activities for the children, beautiful garden and lovely cafe. The artifacts are interesting and not too much information to absorb. Museums can be tiring, not this one.

Can't believe I've never been here before as only 10 mins from my house! Took my 11 year old here today and had a lovely 2 hour walk. Got close up to the cattle and to the geese and fed the deer (took a bag of carrots with us), lots of other wildlife - squirrels, birds etc, a lake, a pond, an old gun placement and wartime telephone exchange.

A small, walled public garden with half a dozen (or so) picnic tables and some benches. A great place to have a coffee takeaway (especially during Covid outdoor only times) from the nearby cafes. It is well kept, but not a park; nothing for kids to do (no swings). Great for a quiet coffee though.
