Visited here with my wife and three boys (11, 6, 5).
We paid for the kids to do the Ariel adventure courses of which there are eight! All the courses are graded by age so the youngest two did the green courses whilst the eldest was also able to do the blue and red courses.
There's no time limit and you can do the courses more than once.
There are also other activities on-site.
Great value and we spent the whole day there.
Some options for lunch other than Ice cream would of been appreciated; we went off site to let the kids recharge their batteries.

Nelly's Ranch

We really enjoyed our 2 hour ride through the forest and along the beach in this beautiful area of the Vendee. The horses were well behaved, keen and very fit. I have never done so many long gallops on a holiday ride. This particular ride was definitely for experienced riders. Hats and chaps were provided for free. There are rides for beginners including taking the horses swimming in the sea. Mainly French speaking but they do speak some English.

St John De Monts Open Market

Reviewed By Joeliz1 - uk

We first visited the market on a Saturday and found it very busy. It calmed down late morning so we could have a good look at the stalls. There are some interesting stalls selling jewellery, clothes, homeware, food etc and we found the prices to be very good. I recommend a fantastic Leather stall selling shoes and bags, they also have a little shop in the square. The owners are extremely helpful and speak good English. We enjoyed the market so much we went again on the Wednesday, it was a little less crowded and we had another good shop. We found parking easy, maybe that was good luck! It is my favourite market in the area. Well worth a visit.

Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste

Located in the centre of the city, 5 minute walk from l'esplanade de Mer and near restaurants and bars. This church was established in the 12th century and has experienced several renovations in the 17th, 19th and 20th centuries. Hence, the eclectic design that it has today. The interior is beautiful as well with its magnificent altar. Perfect for visitors who would want to have a quiet moment or reflection.

Casino de Saint Jean de Monts

Reviewed By Brigitte27560 - Saint-Georges-du-Vievre, France

Gorgeous golden sand for miles, and when the tide is out there is a world of golden sand along with shallow, warm water! Perfect for kids and adults alike, we built sandcastles, had water fights and tried bodyboarding! Very happy, exhausted grandkids!
Facilities including shops/bars all good.

Station Balneaire de Saint-Jean de Monts

Reviewed By renard85jp - Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, France
