Grantham (/ˈɡrænθəm/ GRAN-thəm) is a market town in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It straddles the London to Edinburgh East Coast Main Line railway and the River Witham and is bounded to the west by the A1 main north–south trunk road. Grantham lies about 23 miles (37 km) south of the county town of Lincoln, and about 22 miles (35 km) east of Nottingham. A beautiful garden that has been revived since 2001. The large stately home was demolished in 1951 and the site abandoned. Now visitors can see the grounds that President Franklin Roosevelt described as 'a dream of Nirvana, almost too good to be true.' Work is still ongoing and the restoration and features of this 400 year garden makes a fascinating trip. We have a good tearoom and are very easy to find off the A1.

A lovely garden which drops down to the river witham.It is Sweet Pea Week for 3 weeks & they are stunning & smell fab.The cafe was open selling hot & cold drinks & yummy cake as take away.A lovely place to while away a couple of hours

12th Feb - 11.40 Basement Tour. Our first timers in the world of National Trust- we will 100% be back- great guide, hugely impressive under workings of this stately home, cafe was excellent as was our intro from the car park at the ticket office- just into what I’d call middle-aged and can see this being a life-long life-choice. We visited the house and orchard as we were traveling nearby. You do get a sense of wonder as this is the home where Issac Newton spent much of his time experimenting his theories. Although it is a small property there are enough objects to see as well as being able to experience how it would have been at the time he lived there. Staff are excellent small coffee shop with limited parking you will need to book a time slot.

We had a lovely day in the park for the annual horse trials, what a lovely place great walk, sit in the sunshine watching the horses.

A beautiful church taking pride of place in the city centre with its tall, elegant spire catching the eye for miles around. I was pleased to discover it was open and spent a while appreciating the superb architecture, including the wonderful stained glass windows, the font and the lovely blue ceiling in the chancel.

Two seniors took their granddaughter to the 'Panto' and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The tiering of the seats means that even smaller children can see well, and the size of the theatre gives a very intimate feel to the show. The show itself was superb, quality front line actors, and the supporting young people gave a fine display. Scenery is a little 'unstable' but for an truly wonderful evenings entertainment, it would be hard to beat. I would mention that we also visited Newark for their 'Panto' which was also very good, but we really believe that the Grantham one was better !!

Absolutely fantastic place for both children and adults. We attended a family session. The venue is spotless and everything just looks well looked after. Safety is clearly of utmost importance, watching a safety video upon entry. Staff were wonderful and so helpful. We had drinks at the cafe (but not food). However, the food looked good and the homemade pizzas, in particular, looked fabulous! Thank you Jump Revolution for a great day out. We will definitely return!!

Wyndham Park in is one of the very best in Britain - and that's official! The park's town centre location next to Grantham's Riverside Walk means it's hugely popular with visitors and local alike. It's South Kesteven District Council's aim to provide a park which is not only welcoming but safe, offering a superb range of activities and experiences to suit all ages. We have been a "Green Flag" park since 2012. This is a UK-wide mark of excellence for parks and gardens and winning the award means Wyndham Park is recognised as being amongst the best in the country. Grantham's Wyndham Park Forum and South Kesteven District Council have received support from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and the Big Lottery Fund. The development funding is for a project aimed at restoring the park to its former glory as a First World War memorial park and be one of the district's finest assets.

I go there regularly. The playground is excellent for kids. With gym outside and tennis court they are great options to spend a few hours. Not far tea room where you can have tea,coffee, on summer months ice cream.

We visited on a Sunday where they do a deal for 2 games for a family of 4 for £32. Great price, much cheaper than the large chain bowling places. Drinks and food were not a rip off like the bigger chains too. Definitely worth a visit
