Tadoba Andhari National Park

We all have a bucket list of things we'd like to do and see in our lives. Sometimes, we are lucky enough to accomplish some of them. For years, I thought of visiting Incredible India, especially going on a safari, in an open jeep and seeing tigers and leopards in the wild. After 30 years, I can now check this amazing experience off my bucket list. After some research,I found two of the best reserves to see these amazing wild cats: Rathambore and Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. If you have alot of time and you're willing to go on 8-10 safaris then Rathambore might be best for you to see tigers. Just realize that you are randomly placed in only one zone to visit. if you don't get the right zone, your chances of seeing tigers are cut down to 20% With Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve and a limited amount of time available to you,the ratio of your seeing these magnificent feline increases to 80% because you are free to roam rather than be locked into a specific zone. Also ,there are over 100 tigers on this reserve. My wife and I stayed at the Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge which is a mere 10 minutes from a great zone of the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. The staff at this luxurious lodge were warm, friendly and very accommodating. Akshay and Ramya run the lodge and go above and beyond to help meet your needs. You will feel calm and relaxed as soon as you step foot in this lodge. My wife and I were at this lodge for 3 nights, went on 4 safaris and saw a black panther, a leopard and two tigers.A beautiful tiger walked right by my wife's side of our open jeep. A naturalist from the lodge goes with you and you pick up a guide at the gate of the reserve. They are able to see what our eyes tend to miss. If you decide to visit India and go on safaris for a brief 2 to 3 days, stay at the Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge in Tadoba and let the natural wild world of the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve envelop you and pull you into its magic. You won't be disappointed and you'll love this beautiful, serene, friendly lodge as well. Noel Mouldovan
