We booked last minute, were unsure what to expect having visited Zanzibar for the first time but were so pleasantly surprised. - the food is the best we had in our entire trip. We ate in a range of places but nothing compared to here. Dinner was so wonderful, we scraped our plates clean. The breakfast was perfect and already missed- mixture of savoury and sweet. - the hosts Lesley and Collins were amazing. Really genuinely sweet, so warm and friendly. They had remarkable stories that really genuinely inspired us and taught us - whilst the beach is not sandy, this still has the beautiful seafront view which is stunning in the mornings and the area isn’t far from the Sandy beach at all. You can take a taxi (reliable, cheap and located in front of the hotel) and spend the day in kendwa beach if you like swimming but you come back to and wake up in an area that is quieter and more peaceful and filled with great food/hosts. It is also closer to other sites like the sea turtle swimming site which was so fun!

Reviewed By KatarinaholmWe stayed here for 18 nights dec 2020 and had a fantastic time. The rooms are big and clean with a big terrace with a comfy sofa. All staff are fantastic and so friendly - they even surprised me with beautiful flowers on the bed on my birthday! The breakfast was very good with eggs, toast, pancakes and fresh fruits. The beach are just around the corner and it felt very safe with night guards. A big plus was the cute white cat that belonged to the hotel. We will definitely stay here when we go back in March! Best value for money and we highly recommend this place!

Affordable hotel, great location, had everything we needed
Reviewed By MontyAreIMy partner and myself stayed at this hotel for 5 days, and would definitely recommend it. We were able to arrange pickup from the airport upon our arrival. The location is great, it's only a short walk to the beach. There is a restaurant within the hotel as well as many surrounding it. There are many shops located nearby as well. We always felt incredibly safe. During the day the main door is open and when it's dark, the door is closed with a person posted there to let the guests in when they return. The courtyard is a nice place to relax, hang out and socialize with neighbours. Captian Morgan is the hotel owner/boss. He is very welcoming and super helpful. He helped us to set up multiple activities for us (snorkeling, spice tours, etc). He also drove us to an ATM when we ran out of cash. He definitely improved our experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were also able to have our laundry done for a fee. Although there is no air conditioning, there was a fan located in the bedroom which was nice.

You can bring food and drinks from outside, but the food on site is just delicious. the rooms are clean. the breakfast is very good and the quantity is generous. a very good value for money .. I highly recommend this establishment

Beach Bungalow on the beach!
Reviewed By Katja128We have booked directly with Musa ( +255 776 583 412) the owner at Union Beach Bungalows. We stayed for 16 days . We took our MNT bicycles and explored the gravel roads. The room is large, we had a unit on the ground floor. Breakfast is included- fruit, eggs or Pancake. Coffee and tea. Some mornings we did get juice. We have asked that they clean the room every day because previous reviews said they do not clean every day - and the ladies did a great job. There was some power failures but this is Zanzibar- The water was cold sometimes but when we reported it to the reception, they fixed it very quickly. The internet was good at the restaurant . We bought for 20 000 shillings a sim card and we had a months data unlimited and used another phone to hotspot our devices. There are free sun beds but you can rent one for 10 000 shillings , which has a mattress.( would have been nice if you get that for free if you stay for longer than 7 days...) Everything in Zanzibar is Pole- Pole- slow- but that is why we came here- to slow down. We ate at many different restaurants. I will stay here again- we did get great service from Musa. We could pay by credit card- which was the reason we booked . ATM's was only at the airport and they do plan to put one in Nungwi- not sure when they will open it.

Your beautiful room is in these bungalows near the sea, a few meters from the beach. Your room has fresh air with a ceiling fan, mosquito nets on the windows and on the bed, hot water in the personal bathroom, furnished veranda for resting and being outdoors. Or air conditioning, if you've chosen this service. Breakfast is included in the price or choose the Half Board solution.

Reviewed By Vanesa MHo trascorso una vacanza indimenticabile a Tabasam Beach Bungalow. Le camere con i condizionatori sono state ristrutturate da poco. Il pavimento aveva una splendida ceramica e anche in bagno il rivestimento in piastrelle di ceramica. In veranda un bello arredamento di vimini intrecciati in stile Tanzaniano. La camera e' davanti alla spiaggia e al mare. Vacanza incantevole.

NUNGWI JAMBO BROTHER BEACH ROOM & RESTAURANT. Has 10 rooms available to accommodate tourists. The rooms all contain two traditional beds Zanzibari beds, mattresses with cotton sheets, mosquito nets over beds and windows, ceiling fans, en suite bathroom with sink, mirror, toilet seat and table, all white tiled, shower with water hot. Floors with tiles ceramica.Tavolo with chair, hangers, closet. In front of each room there is a veranda to stay outdoors. Your Bungalow is located 10 meters from the seashore. You'll see a beautiful place, the colors, the smells of those places remain forever in your heart.

Несмотря на кучу писем отправленных владельцу, до сих пор моя бронь активна. Служба поддержки сайта бронирования реально помочь ничем не может. Владелец Carlo Alberto Ciampi просто жуликоватый итальянец.

Minimal room facilities / non-existent service
Reviewed By LindahfxWe were escorted and 'dumped' at Faridu when we arrived at the place we originally booked (with a fully paid reservation) - the Bagamoyo Spice Village - summarily informed us they were overbooked. The location was just fine; but Faridu's room was just fair (the online photos show the new rooms and not the old ones where we were put). They provide absolutely NO services except breakfast, which is basic. They don't even sell bottled water although there's a small grocer nearby. We struggled to get mattresses for lounge chairs, which even then were too small for the chairs. Even finding a staff person to ask a question was a problem. The idea of service at this place was nonexistent - in contrast to all other places we stayed or ate in Zanzibar. Worth going anywhere but here.
