Beautiful lodge and setting. Enjoyed the thoughtful little extras. Felt the breakfast basket was expensive for what was included. But all in a wonderful weekend away. Particularly enjoyed the beautiful settings and hearing and seeing curlew and cuckoo.

We stopped in for a lunchtime sandwich and it was so good we booked in for our evening meal which was excellent. Good range of interesting choices, tasty food, served by friendly staff in a reasonable time and great value. We will definitely eat here again when in the area.

An unplanned, unannounced arrival was met with good grace and a warm and friendly Yorkshire welcome by hostess Natalie - and The Beast (lovely Willie, cute and friendly little dog.) What a treat to stay in such a special period house, complete with antique furnishings and Christmas lights! Comfortable bedrooms, wonderful guests` sitting room with lots of lovely books, and a view from the huge bay sash and case windows there and also from the dining room - onto the winter trees fringing Masham`s `The Holm`; green parkland beside the River Ure. If you`d like to feel spoiled by Natalie, be a little separate from the busyness of lovely Masham and pretend you are part of a period drama, stay at Bank Villa!

Situated in the heart of Masham, The Bay Horse is an ideal base to stay if you wish to enjoy the beauty of both what we have on our doorstep as well as the stunning surrounding areas. At The Bay Horse, Masham you will get, a community local pub, that has a fantastic range of real ales, locally sourced food and great, genuine hospitality - we're not a hotel, we're a quality local pub, with well-appointed rooms.
What a warm welcome I received from Ann, Rob and Lil. For dinner I had the lamb shank, mash and veg which was absolutely delicious. There was a great atmosphere in the pub with a good selection of gins which I was very happy about. My room was spotlessly clean, spacious, with a fabulous bathroom, hot shower etc and such a comfy bed. They had gone over and above in terms of Queens Jubilee decorations so the place had such a patriotic feel. Lovely, I will definitely return. Thank you ?

We had a lovely, spacious room with a copper bath. Very well equipped and comfortable and the whole house was tastefully and interestingly decorated. Jude was very pleasant and helpful and we loved meeting the dogs! Very comfortable bed and a nice breakfast with lots of choice. You have to order breakfast the night before which some people aren't keen on. However, I think it's a great idea because it minimises food waste and it must make Jude's job just a little bit easier. Two minutes' walk to town. Absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend to anyone.
