June 25, 2021 Enriqueta Cusson

Shaped by the currents and curves of the Wisconsin River, Wisconsin Dells has been a favorite family vacation destination for more than 150 years. An explosion of indoor water parks has turned the Dells from a summer hot spot to a year-round destination. Visited with wife and two daughters while we were spending a weekend in the area. We were looking for something fun that we could do outside and let the kids burn off some of the pent up energy from being cooped up indoors, and the Country Bumpkin Farm Markey exceeded our expectations. In addition to the actual market/store, the location has a large play area with numerous things to do. Multiple areas with playground equipment and/or structures that provide kids the chance to run, jump, climb, and just be active. Everything was in great shape and good repair at the time of our visit. Everything was spaced out, so plenty of room to explore and engage. Even when it was getting busier, people were still spread out pretty well. Location also has a petting zoo component, where they have various animals that you can feed and touch. Animal feed is available for purchase in the main store as well as there are a few dispensers that are set-up around the farm. In addition to the playgrounds and petting zoo, they also had a tractor ride and a corn maze. Normal admission provides access to the play area and the petting zoo. The tractor ride and corn maze were additional charges, but they had a pretty good package deal where you could gain access to everything for a discounted price. Charges were very reasonable, especially considering that we were able to stay and play for hours (i.e., we were there for over ~2½ hours before leaving).

Witches Gulch

Reviewed By HpnotiqCrunk - Wisconsin Dells, United States

Witches Gulch was an included stop on both the Upper Dells tour and Jet boat tour we participated in. The path and walkway are great and only narrowed a bit towards the end of the trail towards a small concession stand (which was great to breakup the tours) and included a bathroom area. Pictures in the gulch were awesome and our family loved how windy the paths got at times, it made you feel like you were almost by yourself in the gulch.
