Allentown Fish Hatchery

Reviewed By johnlefever - Longmont, United States

My parents introduced me to the fish hatchery as a little tyke and they continued this tradition by taking my kids there, I love this place. I used to drive my bike there from Emmaus as a teenager to get away from life. If you want to find some solace and/or listen to children's happiness, spend an hour at the fish hatchery. Go to the little house on the east end to pickup some fish food and enjoy the little museum they have, go for a stroll along the Little Lehigh River and the Lehigh Parkway, just sit and enjoy some tranquility. This is the epitome of an "off the beaten path" get away. If you have kids, it's a must.

We attended the Christmas show with another couple. The food was surprisingly good for a dinner theater. The play was also way above expectations. They have a permanent staff of multitalented actors and musicians who arranged familiar songs into medleys and composed a few songs as well. The songs were well paced so as to never be too long and they were well sung and entertaining. We’ll be back again.

Liberty Bell Museum

Reviewed By 563NancyB - Gilchrist, United States

I visited the Liberty Bell Shrine during a field trip in 3rd or 4th grade, my fiancé (from Texas) and friend had never been here. Our tour guide was so informative and told us many fascinating stories about protecting the Liberty Bell! It was very enjoyable because now as an adult I understand the geography and how they traveled from Philadelphia to Allentown! Of course we were able to ring the bell! Could have listened to many more stories!

Hoover Mason Trestle

Reviewed By Flyer818550 - Washington DC, United States

My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend in Bethlehem and the Hoover Mason Trestle was a highlight. The walking tour is self-guided with excellent signage detailing the rise, dominance and downfall of Bethlehem Steel. I've always heard of Bethlehem Steel but never understand its place in the American business landscape until this trip.
