The day tour to Jerusalem and Bethlehem was very interesting. The group was quite small and we got a great overview of the history and tensions between Israel and Palestine. Amir Call Or was a great guide. I would book a tour with him again anytime. For the Bethlehem part and we also had a local guide who arranged for us to visit the tomb of Jesus without waiting in line. I highly recommend Bein Harim Tourism Services.

North of Israel is possibly the most beautiful part of the country. It is a country of waterfalls, rivers and forests. But it is also a country of Natural and Historical Reserves. During this tour, you will visit three National Reserves in this area – Caesarea Philippi, one of the most important places for the Christianity, and former capital built by Philip, son of the King Herod; Dan National Reserve, with its brooks and forests, but also with the remnants of the best preserved Jewish Temple which used to compete with that in Jerusalem; and Nimrod Fortress National Reserve, with its huge and perfectly preserved Citadel overlooking the Golan Heights.

This is a belated review for a day trip we took back in December 2019 (three adults), thus the lack of masks. My mother is in her 60s, it was her first time to visit Israel, and we wanted her to get the most out of it without exhausting herself. We wanted to know more about the incense route and the Nabateans, as well as to see the Negev. I have to say the guided tour was very well researched and made the visit to Avdat truly worthwhile. Kobi was professional, well prepared, very friendly and thoughtful - he asked the staff at Avdat to put up the Chinese version of the introduction video for my mother without us even asking. In the afternoon we went on a off-road in Mizpah Ramon which my mother thought was the highlight of the day. The tour was exactly what we asked for. Communication was timely and the tour was well planned and well executed. We were very pleased to be able to do and see so much in one day without feeling rushed at all. I would recommend Kedem's service to anyone who is looking for a personalised experience and not just after a photo op.

Shachar felt like a member of the family, only one with an encyclopedic knowledge of the history, culture, politics, and geography of Israel and surrounding countries. He made it possible for my brother, niece, and me to take our mom/grandmother on an unforgettable trip to Israel. From Caesaria to Tzefat, Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, he guided us, drove us, and delighted us with his good humor and kind heart. He also spoiled us; I can't imagine my next trip without him.

8. Private tour: The Golan Heights

Israel in Color

The Golan Heights region is probably the most beautiful region of Israel. It is home for beautiful nature reserves, historical sites, and unique communities. We will start our day with visiting the biblical city of Tel-Dan - the famous capital of the biblical tribe Dan which preserves the original city gate (Iron Age) and remains of an ancient altar. Then, we will drive up to Golan Heights and stop for lunch in a Druze village (Masa'ade). Our next point is Mt. Bental, where while standing on the top of a dormant volcano, we will visit an abandon IDF bunker and look towards Syria. We will finish our day at the ancient synagogue Umm el-Kanatir, a unique example of a completely restored building, which was a spiritual home of a prosperous Jewish community that vanished in the 8 century CE. There are many option to customize this tour: hikes, archaeology, and bird watching. Contact for details.

This was an excellent and very rewarding tour with David. Despite the challenges of COVID, and the fact I booked the tour on Shabaat, David was able to take me around the old city and pass on his non-biased and in depth knowledge of the old city. David took all COVID precautions and was able to give other handy information about the city, even going so far as to make sure I text him when I got back safely to my hotel. Thanks for a great tour!
