Norton Collection Museum

Having noticed the museum when walking past we brought our parents along with us for a visit. We were warmly greeted by the volunteers on duty and shown round. I cannot praise this museum highly enough everyone is very friendly and helpful and everything kept in excellent order. The information and items on display far exceed what you would expect from looking at the outside of the building, as they describe it, it is very Tardis like. We enjoyed our visit tremendously.

Avoncroft Museum Of Historic Buildings

An open-air museum of 30 rescued historic buildings which have been dismantled and moved from around the counties of the West Midlands to prevent their destruction. Set in 19 acres of attractive parkland these buildings show how the people of the region have lived, worked and played over the last 700 years.

From the lovely, friendly welcome on arrival to the care taken throughout the site in keeping visitors safe, this museum is the best. Being an outdoor place, it has been ideal for us to meet up here as a family during Covid restrictions. The facilities are well planned and kept safe with plenty of signage and compliance. The small ones love the play areas and the older kids love the space. There are well maintained picnic spots but the main recommendation for Avoncroft are the knowledgeable and kindly staff.

My daughter (7) and I had our first experience of the ballet last week when we visited the Artrix to watch Snow White. An amazing performance with a great view. It’s a lovely venue with more leg room than some theatres! We sat in Row L, seats 9 & 10 so pretty central. Only downside was the parking (as other people have previously mentioned) it took me 10 minutes standing in the car park on my phone, painstakingly entering my reg.... I believe you can do it before you travel or download an app which I would definitely look in to before you arrive as it could save you time. Car park is right outside so if you manage to sort your ticket out, you don’t have far to walk!

Colourful and interesting for all ages, the canal walk travels a lot of locks and passes inhabited boats moored there. There are many colourful characters too and a lot of history. I loved it.

My friend and I went to for treatments to day, my friend is due a baby next week so she had a pregnancy reflexology treatment with Clare and she said it really relaxed her. I had a facial treatment with Yvonne (second one} and I can only describe it as sheer bliss. The treatment extended from my face to my shoulders & arms then onto my feet and lower legs. At the end of the treatment it really is as though you have zoned out and you are so relaxed. I have had this treatment with Yvonne before so knew I would need to sit and relax before driving home and where better than at The Wishing Well Cafe so we had a lovely half an hour to just sit relax and have our drinks. Would definitely recommend treatments , and refreshments, at the lovely place.
