Such a lovely place! Just visiting the area we spotted this place so stopped off to buy myself and my mum a lavender plant. Discovered it also has a fantastic interior store, farm shop (try the freshly baked scones, absolutely delicious), a number of lovely gift shops, a restaurant, children's play areas, and animal park. We had lunch at the restaurant, in the outside area looking over a lovely stream and were joined by a number of ducks and peacocks! The next day we returned to visit the animal park and to pick up the lavender plants. A lovely lady working outside with the plants helped us pick out some beautiful lavender, one which is only grown at that site, and another pink lavender plant which I adore! Just a lovely, friendly place.

Farmer Fred's Adventure Play Barn

Really well done with plenty for children of all ages. This is I think the nicest children’s soft play we’ve been to, clean, well laid out, safe and everything seems new and fresh not old and worn like so many we’ve been to. Lots of parking and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Half decent cappuccino too.

Bushel & Strike

A warm and friendly pub yet quaint and characteristic in the heart of a small coastal village, serving a range of drinks, including great ales along with a large selection of ever changing gins, wines, bottled beer and soft drinks as well as now serving food. This open plan pub dates from the late 19th century and still retains a traditional appearance. A large garden, pool table and dart board, attracts holidaymakers as well as many of the locals, dogs are always welcome.

We made a booking here as it was "eat out to help out" scheme. The pub is not on the main road and we only found it by using google for local pubs. What a find!. it has a lovely beer garden ideal for young families. As this was beginning of the "pubs reopening through COVID" the staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice beers on the pumps and it seems that it is popular with locals who know the area. The meal was nice, we both had chicken dishes. Very reasonable cost, Would visit again.
