We walked a couple of sections of Hadrian's Wall, totally wonderful. Tough going at times with ups and downs, the scenery is stunning in all weathers.

We have 3 Heated Open Air Swimming Pools. A Paddler Pool for non-swimmers, Learner Pool for youngsters and Big Pool for adults and confident swimmers. Our pools are open from April to September, but when they close, come along and try our state of the art Fitness Suite, use our 4 Court Sports Hall (for basketball, badminton, football, netball etc.), or attend one of our fitness classes in the Studio. On top of this we have a Brand New Astro Turf Pitch, which is fantastic for sports such as Football, Tennis, Netball and Much, Much More. We are Registered as a Charity under the title 'Haltwhistle Social Welfare Centre'

We did not go inside the castle but admired it from the outside. The setting, near the river, could not be more picturesque and the castle is beautiful.
