This is a huge nature reserve and quite impressive. If you go, be sure to take the boat ride to the mouth of the river.

This wetland has been greatly improved since my first visit in 2007, but is still a work in progress. As a resident of Dongying city, I can attest to the lack of green spaces around the city (although that is also improving), so a visit to the mouth of the Yellow River is a welcome breath of fresh air. (no pun intended)
It's a typical wetland with the addition of boardwalks, viewing towers, a visitor centre and boat cruises out to the Bohai Sea.

黄河口生态旅游区很大，主要是湿地风光，很大一片芦苇荡，栖息着白鹳、丹顶鹤、大雁、天鹅等很多水鸟，还有鸟类放飞表演。可以挖螃蟹。国庆节期间要坐景区观光车，等车时间很长，平时可以自驾车。

I visited this place with some friends and colleagues. It is very quite in winter time but I was told that it is very busy during summer time where people can walk or practice some outdoor activities like running and jogging.

A well kept park of all the areas of dongying. Nice for a stroll round & you can hire some 2 seater pedal cars to whizz around on as well. There's also a speedboat that you can pay ¥80-100 to get taken out on. Visit...purely because there ain't much else in Dongying!
