Ben A'an

Ben A’an is a great hike, it probably took us 1hr 30 up with a few stops and similar back down. It has quite a steep incline so bear that in mind, however the views at the summit are spectacular! Definitely worth a visit. Note** if parking make sure to get there early as on weekends it gets very busy after 9:30am and nowhere to park on the roads. Also bring midgy repellent it was full of them!

McQueen Gin

Trossachs Distillery in Callander, Scotland, is the home of multi award winning McQueen Gin – the brainchild of Dale & Vicky McQueen. Established July 2015, McQueen Gin launched in June 2016, with 4 world first botanical gins – Sweet Citrus, Smokey Chilli, Mocha and Chocolate Mint. In November 2016 we launched our flagship gin – Super Premium Dry, which then went on to win Double Gold in San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2017. March 2017 we launched Spiced Chocolate Orange, the 6th gin in our core collection. Since then we have created many more gins, available in various supermarkets and our Distillery shop. Every batch created, is made with the same passion and commitment to excellence as the very first one. Please come and visit us https://mcqueengin.co.uk/distillery-and-tours/

Our family (5 adults) visited the distillery on Friday. The staff were great and even offered to come and collect us due to bad weather. Stuart gave us a tour of the distillery, followed by a tasting of various different gins with Vicki, one of the founders of the business. The distillery is the perfect size to get up close and see everything in action and it was fascinating to hear all about how Vicki & Dale have created the business in only 4 years. Would definitely recommend a visit. And the chilli gin with ginger beer!

Loch Lubnaig

Reviewed By ch00chter - Buchlyvie, United Kingdom

After being let loose from stay at home regulations, we drove up to loch lubnaig and parked at the picnic area where it was very quiet. Had a wee picnic with us which we consumed whilst watching the world go by. We managed to get some lovely sunny weather but really cold wind and intermittent snow showers but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

Loch Venachar

Reviewed By Ferguson-Lamb - Glasgow, United Kingdom

We went wild camping on loch venachar and had a wonderful time. We got a camping permit (only costing £3) for campsite B, which you need to camp on Loch Lomond and Trossachs camping management zones. It was a great campsite, wonderful view of loch, and has a car park next to the campsite which was extremely convenient. The campsite itself has several spots under trees so you are quite sheltered even if it begins to rain, but still have a lovely view of the loch. There are lots of walks nearby, and some lovely restaurants that are dog friendly. If you’re looking for a wild camping spot I would highly recommend as it’s a great site, much quieter and less touristy than Loch Lomond can be. We took our kayak out on the loch, which was easy to do, as the car park as easy access to the waters edge. Definitely worth a visit and we will 100% be back!
