Vietnam's bustling largest city sets the cultural and economic pace for the country. The former Saigon boasts charming French colonial architecture and wide boulevards, usually thronged and choked with traffic. Taxis are an option for seeing the sprawling city. The War Remnants Museum shows the Vietnam War through Vietnamese eyes. Don't miss the impressive Jade Emperor Pagoda. Go to the frenetic Ben Thanh Market for food, flowers or frogs. Tour through the Mekong Delta, past rice paddies and houseboats.

When you enter the little museum "Drink Vietnam" you are surrounding by all the different spirit and tea that Vietnamese people use to drink to be healthy. Each product have there own description with the health benefits. You will learn more about Vietnamese culture with our knowledgeable guides that will introduce you to the traditional medicinal herbs used daily by local people.
After I left the shop and thought about the few hours I spent there I think the experience started the moment I entered the street the business is located. Coming off a busy vehicle strewn road the deadend street itself is light filled and clean, flanked by a mix of well kept multi storey residential and commercial older style buildings presenting a lovely chilled scene. The shop itself is well decorated, crossing a green threshold you are greeted with a relaxing atmosphere featuring walls lined with bottles of rice spirit infused with fruit and herbs and jars of coffee and tea. The staff are friendly and have a really sound knowledge of what they were offering. If you want to try the spirits you can either choose from the suggestions on the menu or make it up yourself adding a bit of this and that, the number of variations would run into the hundreds and all for the same price of D29,000 per cup (about the same size as a sāke cup). The drinks themselves were different and not the type of thing you just throw back, more something you sip away at. The shop does serve food after 6pm (on the day I was there), had the green paypaya salad with chicken which was tastful and refreshing. Products can be purchased to take away and having brought some Robusta coffee beans roasted with butter I left thinking I will have to come back.

A hidden little gem in ho chi minh city in a beautiful 5 storey building. I really wasn't expecting as much as what I got when I stepped into the museum. All inside is beautifully hand carved ornate wooden decoration all over the walls, ceiling, and everywhere you looked. There is so much info on tradional medicine you can spend atleast an hour or two here. They have so many things on display it's easy to get lost inside and it's definitely worth a visit. I even got a lovely herbal tea to try at the end of my visit.

Great building with a nice garden around. The building itself is mostly the attraction, the exhibitions are ok but nothing special. This is also reflected by the entrance fee, so we had a nice quiet morning activity of some 45 minutes. The structure and the material of the building are still in solid condition but should be improved soon for the museum to retain its unique character.
