Moraca Monastery

This is one of the most famous monasteries in Montenegro. It is 25 km away from Kolasin and was built on the right bank of Moraca in mid-13th century by a grandson of Stefan Nemanja - Stevan. There is a monastery church inside the complex which is dedicated to the Assumption of the Holy Virgin.

Monument to the Fallen Soldiers

The monument is located on the main city square and it is dedicated to victims of fascist terror. It was built only a couple of years after the end of World War II. It is work of a sculptor Vojin Bakic.

Situated on the mountain top Kljuc on Bjelasica, in the village Recine which is around 10 km away from Kolasin, this monastery provides a special experience of the beautiful nature and religious tourism. There is a chapel built above the monastery, modeled after Njegos's chapel on Lovcen. The monastery was built in 1999 by a priest who still serves in it.

This is a magnificent house which was built by the prominent merchants from Kolasin, the Maric brothers, in the beginning of the 20th century. It was built in the secession style as a reflection of the new urban concept of Kolasin according to which the houses in Kolasin where increasingly modeled by other European cities after the liberation from the Turks.

A monument to the war capital of Montenegro which occupies the central part of the city square was built in the honor of the 1st Session of the Terrestrial anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation of Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor. It was designed by a Slovenian architect Marko Music. Busts of national heroes from the area of Kolasin were sculpted and built around this home.
