The Atalaia Diving Center - Madeira The Atalaia Dive Center is situated directly at the Underwater Marine Park and possibly with the best house reef of Madeira, offers diverse and safe diving for beginners as well as for experienced divers. The Dive Center Founded in March 1988 by Joe Klenk, Marco Klenk took over the Dive Center 2016 from his father Joe, who explored the underwater world of Madeira as one of the first divers ever. Together with Sasha Hartmann he now leads the newly renovated Dive Center. The team offers relaxed diving in small groups at the highest level of comfort, individual service and respectable diving education. Of course there’s space for tons of fun too. The Dive Center has a pool for educational training and Discover Scuba Diving sessions as well as direct access to six top divesites right at the doorstep. Atalaia highly values top-certified dive instructors and high-class equipment. The diving with Atalaia Diving Center as certificated CMAS / IAC and PADI Dive Resort is ideal for education from beginner’s level up to Divemaster and also offers experienced divers a great deal. No matter whether it’s the Canyon, Moray's Wall, inside the Cave or the Blue Hole, there’s always something new to discover. The dive center Mero Diving Center is located in the heart of this magnificent reserve and offers sea lovers the opportunity to visit this authentic sanctuary of marine life with ease and convenience.

Diving directly in front of the base and by boat – IT DOESN´T GET ANY BETTER! Short distances and travel time are pampering for divers. The base is centrally located with a reef rich with fish just one minute from its front door. Jump into the water and you are in the middle of Madeira’s Underwater Nature Reserve. There are four different diving spots that can easily be reached: A cave tunnel with an air blister, a steep face or the "Arena" with its big shoals of fish, for example. The diverse diving spots have a diving depth of 34m. You can also snorkel and the area is great for beginners’ courses, for guided dives for those with little experience, but also for seasoned divers that would like to discover the area with a partner. All other diving spots can be reached by boat with the boat trip taking between 5 and 20 minutes. We have a specially constructed aluminium speed boat for these trips.

Enjoyable mountain bike tours, that starts on the top of the mountain and ends by sea level. A vivid trail ride that may vary between challenging up hills and adrenaline full down hills.
