White Tiger Safari Rewa

Reviewed By ashishjain54 - SATNA MP India

Mukundpur White Tiger Safari is near to Rewa but is in Satna district of MP
It has a zoo where you will see well fed white tiger and routine asian tigers a black bear
There is also a safari named (Mohan white tiger safari)after famous first ever white tiger captured in the last century by ruling kings of Rewa in the very same jungles (interestingly I have seen Mohan also when I was a kid since he was kept in a zoo very near place called Govindgarh though now no more )
Since the zoo and safari are new in tourist circuit hotels and restaurants are yet not operative but many are coming up
Safari closes at 4pm and zoo by 5 pm so be in time
A very small but informative museum also worth visiting
In all it is going to be a good outing for all

Rani Talab

Reviewed By ashish619 - Pune, India

I have seen quite lot of improvement at this place. Known for Kaali /Durga temple besides a small lake known a Rani talab. It's close to rewa fort but the way is quite narrow. Ask some local auto rickshaw to take you there as driving four wheelers at this place can be painful in the narrow streets. One can easily spend 2 hours at the temple. THe lake is cleaned and maintained.
Remember that this temple is heavily crowded during Navratri / Durga Puja.

Govindgarh Palace

Reviewed By Rajkumar24 - Bhopal, India

Govindgarh Palace is believed to be the personal museum of the rulers of Rewa, which is situated on the shores of a lake. This museum is famous for housing the first white tiger, Mohan, that was recovered from the nearby jungles in 1951. Tourists can also visit the Islands that have been established in the lake for visitors

Purwa Falls

Reviewed By Kuldip20012001 - Chandigarh

We spent an evening at Purwa water falls. It is about 25 KMs away from Rewa .The Tons river drains northwards, causing a 70 metres fall, making it a picturesque site.Administration is taking a reasonably good care to make the place attractive to visitors.
It is a favourite picnic spot as well, and we enjoyed our evening tea in an upcoming building that offers much better view of this frosty fall.

Chachai Falls

Reviewed By AbT91 - Allahabad, India

Chachai falls are more than 130 meters in height and are situated on River Bihad, near Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. These falls are the second highest Waterfalls in Madhya Pradesh and is counted amongst one of the highest single-drop Waterfalls in India. It was once praised by former Indian Prime Minister Sh. Jawahar Lal Nehru for its breathtaking charisma and beauty. However, that time is long gone as a river diversion has been constructed on this river, which splits all of the water of Bihad river in two halves, one for generation of Electricity at Toans Hydroelectric Power Plant and another half for irrigation in nearby villages, leaves absolutely no water for the Waterfalls. The coarse of the river has been changed and since then, the Waterfalls are dry, which flood once during the rainy season when excess water is discharged from the dam.
The Rest House constructed along this waterfall is now closed and its useless to visit this ruin of a waterfall now. The roads that connect to Chachai Waterfalls are in good shape.
