The area is very beautiful. I would suggest this area for the beginners as experienced ski runners might find it boring quite fastly as my friend did. There is a great variety of green and blue slopes for beginners and medium trained ski runners. We stayed at a nice house for 5 days. It is a great vacation spot where you can have your privacy. As any spot in Norway this one is quite pricy though.

Mainly gravel and some tractor tracks. From the Gondola's top station, follow the route uphill towards the bare mountain and Moksjoen. Keep right, and continue on gravel into the mountain area and across the moors to Sjosaetra. Follow the hilly dirt road until you reach Pellestova. At Ilsetra, turn right onto the mountain road leading through Nysetra and down to Mosetertoppen, top of the Gondola. Return to the valley by gondola or follow the gravel road leading down.

Hafjell - Gondola

586 vertical metres in 10 minutes The Gondola whisks you easily and comfortably to the top of the mountain where you are dropped off right at the trailheads for inviting hiking and biking terrain. The Gondola cabins can also transport baby carriages and wheelchairs.

Used the gondola to get up to Mossertoppen and used it from halfway having skied run 43. We downloaded most days as frankly the route 23 down was a knee buster so took the easy route! Great views from the gondola and I am sure very welcome in the winter. It is susceptible to wind closure though.

Lilleputthammer is really "spot on" if you have kids in the age of 1 to 6, as all attractions in this amusement park is meant for the little ones. The kids just love it, especially the little train ride and the little houses. We recommend to arrive early when the park opens, and stay your day there. There are some live shows that is worth viewing, especially the "Vennebyen" and the Circus shows, kids are thrilled. If you plan to stay overnight Scanic Hafjell is just in walking distance to this park. We have visited this park once a year the last 3 years and it has been a success every time ;-)
