I walked that way to get an idea of history and also do some nice trekking in nature. Be aware that at around 9 am tour buses will start to throw out hords of people, who will join your trip... So be social or get there early.

Highly recommended if you self drive to Mt Fuji / Hakone. Multiple place to stop and enjoy the different view offiered along the way . Hardly seen any car during my drive there during winter period.

This is a lovely walk under the cedar trees. They are truly majestic and provide an awesome backdrop for the lake and surrounding countryside. A special experience.
