As a non-golfer, I went to the Betchworth Park Golf Clubhouse last night to see and hear a fabulous band playing at the Watermill Jazz Club. The other feature of that evening was the superb buffet we enjoyed prior to the jazz concert starting. They offered two meat dishes, a vegetarian lasagne, and prawns cooked in a delicious crispy coating, in addition to a good range of vegetables, potatoes, salads and coleslaw. It was all beautifully cooked, and the different elements of the meal blended well together. Providing you cleared your plate and got back to the buffet quickly enough, there was the opportunity to enjoy another plateful. This club are indeed lucky to have a chef of such calibre, and I look forward to visiting the jazz club again soon, both for the music and the food.
