I come down every year to sit and relax and shop. Enjoy an ice cream and people watch. Pop up markets and some brick and mortar shops.

I walked the breakwater Easter weekend and it was lovely. Very cool. There is scuba diving available on the break water as well. Wish there was a garbage can/ Recycling at some point on the breakwater. The breakwater restaurant had coffee to go by donation which was nice.

I always love the downtown area. I love the unique shops and places to eat. It's clean and since it's built on a hill, you get a leg workout.

Canada's oldest Chinatown is characterized by narrow, winding streets and lots of little shops and restaurants.
Chinatown in Victoria is located on Fishgard Street between Government and Store Streets..It features many historic buildings with businesses providing artistic goods and products which provide tourist attractions, restaurants, grocery stores and other services.. our favorite place to visit is the Silk Road Tea Shop.. this Chinatown Has been designated A National Historic Site In Canada..just walking the area is an adventure...

This historic part of town, once the center of Victoria's shipping and fur trading businesses, is now filled with important landmarks and specialty shops offering British, Scottish and Irish imports.
The walk from the Inner Harbour along ether Government or Wharf streets is a walk into the past featuring old buildings and landmarks mixed with the new and trendy - pubs, restaurants and souvenir stands dot the route. A great locale to people watch.

Nanaimo's Old City Quarter is part of the original economic core of the city. Buildings in the area date from the late 1800s to early 1900s. The map shows the area's boundaries. The Old City Quarter has undergone a revitalization of heritage buildings along with the addition of new developments which complement the period architecture. A revitalization program in the early 1980s attracted upmarket retailers. There are over 20 restaurants and 30 shops in the area, as well as professional services and the historic train station. The success and growth of this area as a destination shopping, business and dining area with the charm of yesterday resulted in the formation of the Old City Quarter Association. The association was incorporated in April,1993. The goal of the association is to collectively administer and coordinate the improvement, promotion and awareness of the Old City Quarter as a unique destination.
