Reviewed By IanGouldWe’ve chosen to stay here on our return Journey home because we enjoyed our evening meal and accommodation/breakfast on route to Edinburgh last week so much . Close to the motorway and a short walk from Ecclefechen. We chose this Hotel having read the previous excellent reviews.. Evening meal choices and locally sourced produce and menu choice was very good. Staff are attentive and Cressfield Hotel offers excellent value. If in this area we would totally recommend this Hotel

Reviewed By vicpatgAwful room, both room and bathroom dirty. TV didn’t work properly. Toilet seat wasn’t attached properly, no plug for the sink and the water didn’t work properly. I paid £129.99 for this room- absolutely disgrace

Friendly and professional hotel that caters to all. During the week we have a regular business trade that takes advantage of all the mod cons, including full wi-fi coverage, in stylish and relaxing surroundings. We are excellently located for all local companies and just over an hours journey to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Weekends are busy with local food trade and also with small functions and weddings.

Reviewed By Journey23003507796I was let down by 2 venues at very last minute for my mums 50th Birthday party with less than 7 days to try and figure something out, I called Alec at the somerton hotel with the hope that there would be a slight chance we could have the function there much to my surprise Alec accommodated us without even a thought, and saved my mums special day, I cannot thank Alec and the team enough for all their hard work on Saturday 21st May they already had a function in and were also serving food and nothing was too much of a hassle, Shona, Ally and Robbie serving and glass collecting and they were exceptional and very professional and nothing was too much to ask for, I cannot recommend this hotel enough for functions, we had the best time. THANK YOU ALEC AND YOUR TEAM!!!

Warm welcome, efficient and friendly checkin, superb SIMPLE, UNCOMPLICATED Menu for food which was beautifuuly cooked and tasted fabulous, sensational breakfast. Service was first class. Most comy bed ever - fabulous night's sleep. Ok, if you cast a really critical eye (if you reckon you are a competent hotel critic or merely a whinger) you could say that parts of the room were slightly tired but these guys are really out to provide a quality offer and I can assure the reader I have paid substantially more in maincore chains for significantly less. Would I rebook here - without any hesitation - they are worth it

Stayed here over Christmas with no form of decoration whatsoever in the bitterly cold dining room... until the manager got his knuckles rapped by the coach company and made a pathetic attempt to create some festive cheer. It had obviously been closed and opened just for us in desperation to make some money. Beautiful hotel for a wedding venue but not for a joyous Christmas break.

Reviewed By Glenn MI normally stop off in one of the lockerbie hotels to break up my journey north to the highlands from down south, but this time I booked Bishopscleugh B&B based on its very high reviews/rating on booking.com. They did not disapoint! Its a traditional (maybe farm) house perched on a hill overlooking lockerbie and the hills around it. The rooms are modern yet traditionally decorated and very comfortable and very clean. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was first class.
