Great base from which to explore the west of Crete
Reviewed By John GClean, well appointed self catering accommodation, surrounded by good tavernas and a very good (reasonably priced) beach restaurant nearby. The Louladakis brothers are very helpful hosts with great tips about what to see in the area.

Reviewed By 814mihaelapWe enjoyed a lot our stay at Irinula Dreams, strongly recommend. The location is walking distance from the beach, and restaurants are nearby. Rooms are very clean with sea view. Ianis (hotel manager) is a funny friendly host and give us usefull advice about places to visit within the area.

On the west side of Chania Bay, close to the pebble beach of Kolymbari we created an elegant family hotel, of high quality suites. The simple architectural design and the older styled domes, blend harmoniously with the environment and they become an integral part of the Cretan nature and culture. Welcome in Crete! An amalgam of myths, legends, history, tradition and hospitality.

We had to leave for a boat trip very early and they packed a bag for us in the evening before, they are always happy to talk with the guests, they offer great advice, we were given a small gift at checkout. The place is brand new and clean, the pool is great. Another excellent thing about it - the breakfast! It's freshly cooked, with natural ingredients and different each day, it was the best breakfast ever! I have been to a lot of hotels in Europe, many 5 stars, and this one is just a shinning star! I cannot recommend enough.

Reviewed By Ruth RWe enjoyed a relaxing 2 weeks here - lovely view and short walk down to the beach. It's stoney but only a handful of people used it and we enjoyed relaxing and swimming there. Only a 40 minute drive to the airport which is handy (can highly recommend Crete Lux Travel for a transfer). There are a few good tavernas within a few minutes walk - Kriti and Mikalis were good. Pool was great - plenty big enough to cool off in. Good air con in the lounge and bedrooms which cooled the rooms down really quickly. Twice weekly housekeeping and end of stay cleaning were included which was good. I would say car is optional. If you are not planning on travelling inland you can manage without. The villa is a few minutes walk from the coast road, along which the bus travels between Chania and Kissamos every 15 minutes. The local shop has a few essentials sometimes, but there are supermarkets along the bus route within 10 minutes. The Limounopolis water park, about 25 minutes drive was very good. The local road train was excellent for an inland trip to places you might not otherwise visit. If you have small children who would open a sliding patio door, I would say not suitable due to the unfenced pool, but great for older children. The manager Chrysa was on hand by text or e mail to help with any questions about things which was helpful too.

Reviewed By maggie sSmall family run rooms and taverna. Clean basic rooms, anything you need just ask. Air condition available at small extra cost Wifi in the taverna area.. Maria and Michalis are lovely people, nothing too much trouble. All home cooking done by them both. Look at menu and ask about specials. Not a pizza person but Michalis's home made prawn pizza at lunch time to die for as is Maria's rabbit or goat casserole. Pebble beach just down the lane non touristic and the taverna pool is beautiful and clean. Couldn't fault it. If you want 5 star then go to the big soulless hotels, if you want traditional food and hospitality, peace and tranquillity then this is the place.
