I visited the very first Ripley Farmers Market here on the Green and enjoy supporting and promoting the primary producers. Lots to see, taste and buy, plus opportunity to chat to the friendly stall holders and visitors.

The base and walls are still here but the rest is in ruins of this 12th century priory near to the river Wey. About a 5 minute drive from the A3.

Walsham Lock and Weir

Extremely picturesque site for plein air artists. It is a bit of a hike from the car park, about 10 minutes, but the view is lovely and fresh. As this was August families were enjoying picnics, and Ripley village - also very pretty and artistic material - is close by. I highly recommend this for a day out.
