The archipelago, which is of volcanic origin, is 1,750 kilometres (1,090 mi) east of northern Australia, 540 kilometres (340 mi) northeast of New Caledonia, east of New Guinea, southeast of the Solomon Islands, and west of Fiji.

The Wild Pig Bar

Every Saturday night The Wild Pig Bar, Coconut Palms Resort hosts the Vanua Fire Show which is a must see whilst in Port Vila. The Wild Pig Bar has a wide selection of local and international beer, wine and spirits. There is a daily happy hour, when they serve free nibbles. The Wild Pig Bar also has a dart board as well as two pool tables, all free of charge to use.
