Tingvollost

Family run farm dairy, well known for their awarded white- and blue cheeses. Gold medal winner at The World Cheese Awards. Visit the farm shop from where you can follow the production through the windows to the production, and meet the four generations currently living on the farm. The farm store also offers a range of other local produce.

Tingvoll Church

One of the most significant churches from this era (appr 1180). Stone, marble and soapstone are the building materials. Inside the walls, internal corridors has been built for seremonial purposes. The beautiful interior dates partly from 1500 century. A stone at the altar contains a runic inscription. The nearby vicarage is a listed building and dates back to 1730. Concerts are held here throughout the summer. Tours are given by appointment.

Tingvoll Museum

Tingvoll Museum is a 19th century farm with a magnificent view to three mountain ranges. The museum consists of nine well-equipped buildings, including schoolroom, shop, gate saw, mill and smithy. Every Thursday at 12.00 during summer there are activities for visitors to study and participate. For example: Baking your own traditional bread, go to school, cut the gras and dry it for winterstorage, or study weapons and tools and try cooking as during the Stone age. Every weekday there are guided tours at 12.00 and 14.00. Groups may book packages consisting of entertainment, traditional food, activites or small surprises. The special premises in the barn can accomodate approx. 40 persons.

Amperhaugen is a farm in Sollia in Stor- Elvdal, Norway. The oldest buildings on the farm were probably built in the late 17th century. The newest building is from 1996, but is built in old style. At Amperhaugen is the Sollia War History Museum with a unique collection of artifacts, photographs and dissemination of World War II.
