We were on a day trip to Mitrovice from Prishtina, where we decided to visit the Serbian part of Mitrovice. On the top of the hill, overlooking the city lies Saint Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church. It is visible from far away - as soon as you cross the bridge you can see it.
The church has some beautiful frescoes. Everywhere you look, the frescoe paintings reveals new intricate details. Absolutely amazing. In my opinion as impressive as the Sistene Chapel in Rome.
If you like this types of churches, do should visit Gračanica aswell.

Xhamia e Zallit is situated near the center of Mitrovica, and is visible basically from many parts of the city since it's a very big mosque. It was recently built, in a very interesting architectural style. It was built in the famous ottoman style. If you're in (Kosovska) Mitrovica, don't miss to visit this beautiful mosque, you won't regret it!

It's a bit of a walk up to the monument, but it offers a great view of the divided city of Mitrovica. It is a significant piece of soviet era history that was designed by Bogdon Bogdanovic in 1973. The monument dominates the skyline of the city.

別名ミトロヴィッツア城、ですが、ミトロヴィッツア市内から車で10分ほどのところにあります。11世紀に建てられたとされる城で、丘の上にきれいにたってます。その丘のかたちもあってか、遠目にはすばらしい中世の建築物に見えます。しかし、ふもとまでしか行けませんでした。タクシー運転手によると崩落の危険があるとかで。。
