A must to visit! Gatineau park is just beautiful. Close to Ottawa, with so many lakes including Pink lake (green), trails, wildlife, breathtaking views especially from Belvèdere where you can see as far as the Outaouais River. Good variety of restaurants (Chelsea) it does not matter the season of the year, each one is unique in its own way. In Autunm enjoy the colors is just magic!!! My favorite place in the Outaouais.

Always something for the children, be it face painting, interesting displays with a learning message which is fun for kids, or in winter it may be slides and snow sculptures for the entire family... Always worth a visit when stuff is going on. If nothing is on, then it is a great place to have a pic nic with views of parliament, Nepean point, Embassies, the Ottawa river or the close by Museum.

We were here twice during the last four days, returning today for the special Neanderthal exhibition that opened today. It is outstanding, but the special “Unceded” exhibition, focusing on indigenous North American architecture, is also excellent. The two floors of Canadian history are a great improvement on what was available for view when this was still the Museum of Civilization. The Grand Hall offers the best selection of Northwest Pacific art and artifacts this side of the B.C. Provincial Museum in Victoria, and the Museum of Anthropology on the UBC campus in Vancouver. It leads into the “First Peoples” exhibition, which is also well worth your while. A special treat is the complete collection of Canadian and British North American postage stamps. Highly recommended!

Great place to visit, may be a bit hard for some to walk up from the parking lot, but worth it. Makes for great photos. A nice walk with flowers around, the 'prime minister's chalet ' more a tea and coffee area. Those ruins were the first places i visited as a kid and still is a joy to this day. I prefer spring or fall to visit but summer is good also
