The 6 Best Things to do for Honeymoon in Manchester, England

May 13, 2022 Natalie Tallman

Famed for its soccer team and music scene, which has produced the likes of the Smiths and Oasis, this center for sports and the arts is a down-to-earth and friendly city. The so-called Capital of the North has overcome industrial decline, bombing (in WWII and by the IRA) to become a confident and cosmopolitan city of well over two million. It is well served by a bus and light rail network. Top attractions include the Lowry art complex, arcade Affleck's Palace and Canal Street gay village.

Prebooked to attend on 23rd August .Arrived at the venue which looks just like an ordinary launderette. You have to phone using an internal phone and provide a code given at booking to gain entrance. We were greeted by Jamie who was our waiter for the evening. There is a brilliant range of unusual cocktails for which Jamie had an excellent knowledge .He and the other waiters were really friendly which alongside the ambience and the most amazing cocktails made this a very enjoyable evening, we cant wait to go back.

This was an incredible Gin experience. We had 3 hours of interesting facts about the Gin making process and lots of Gin drinking!! Sherel was fantastic and so passionate and also helped by Adam on the cocktail making! All the drinks were amazing, the process of making Gin was fun and I’d love to do the rum one next time!! A great brand of Gin and a well organised tour!! Oh and we also came away with our own bottle of Gin!

Had a lovely time at The Midland Spa, we were here to celebrate a birthday, and had a thoroughly relaxing day. There is a pool, sauna and steam room, along with an 'experience' shower, and although these areas are of a modest size, this is to be expected in a city centre hotel. You did not feel crowded though, and there is much more space available in the relaxation room, which has plenty of seating, beds, lounging areas, and 4 big hanging pods, which were very comfortable. We had 2 treatments each, which should last 25 mins each, and some other reviews on here were critical, suggesting the treatments were much shorter. Our experience was positive, and we had the full length of time allotted to our treatments. The therapists were obviously well trained, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had afternoon tea for lunch, which had a very generous amount of food for two people, and was delicious. As we were without our young daughter for the day, we made the most of the relaxation area, and enjoyed being able to switch off and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
