The 6 Best Kayaking & Canoeing in Oslo, Eastern Norway

June 22, 2021 Matilde Konrad

The 1000-year-old Norwegian capital sits at the head of Oslo Fjord. This stunning setting gives hints of the wild wonders that lie just beyond the city. From taking in visual delights at Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum, the Munch Museum and Holmenkollen, to the challenging content within the new Nobel Peace Centre and the Holocoust Center, Oslo offers plenty of food for thought. The Oslo Pass allows free travel on public transport, free parking and many museum and sight admissions.

Mad Goats Paddling

Mad Goats Paddling organizes kayak and stand up paddling courses and tours in and around Oslo. We are crazy goats - and we have fun on the water. There are few things that offer the same sense of freedom that you feel around water. We want to give you this experience, and therefore we offer guided kayak and stand up paddling tours and group events, such as bachelor parties and teambuilding. Among other activities we are well known for our wonderful paddling trip down the Akerselva River, right through the heart of Oslo. You can find us right next to the Opera House in Oslo, where we organize courses in sea kayaking. In addition, you can join us on courses in white-water at Sognsvann and in Hønefoss.
