Fantastic Hidden Gem

Reviewed By Sheilatex

We stayed here for 1 night, really wish it had been longer, this small family run hotel is beautiful, we were completely blown away. We arrived off the Ferry and we were met by Nicolas and his Wife, who then took us to the Hotel, it was literally 5 minutes from the port, on a side street. We had a lovely room, spotlessly clean, small shower room, great Air con, and small balcony with 2 chairs and a table overlooking the street, we could hear greek music from a taverna just about 20 yards away. It was brilliant, we sat there with a glass of red wine listening to the music and people watching before going out for the evening, Fantastic!! The breakfast which is included was amazing, Greek yoghurt, honey, pastries, cheese pie, fresh fruit, coffee, what more could you ask for. Nicolas has a brilliant story of how his parents met and how the hotel started. If you get a chance ask him. We will absolutely be back.

Well appointed apartments in prime position

Thea is beautifully positioned overlooking the harbour. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything well thought through by the owner. Each has a balcony with great views of the harbour. The owner, Panos, was very friendly and helpful, meeting us from the ferry and making sure everything was perfect. He was very careful about COVID. The breakfast was self service with a good variety of food and drink stocked in the room, including eggs, milk and bread replenished everyday. There was a kettle and toaster and even a complimentary bottle of wine on the first day. The air conditioning was quiet and effective and the room was cleaned everyday, and towels and linen, including beach towels changed when necessary. I'm almost reluctant to recommend in case we want to return and find it too popular.

Space and views

We loved our stay here, the studio was more like a little house with 3 different outdoor areas to lounge or dine in and generous air conditioned living areas inside. Sevasti is a really wonderful host, her English is excellent and she is very kind and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble for either her or her husband. There is only one proviso to staying here, you need to be a bit fitter than we are. But for those who don't mind a few extra steps, the views that await you are terrific. There are full kitchen facilities, and Sevasti advised us that the shops will deliver to the door. I stupidly lost my wallet which had my passport in it, and Sevasti rang the police station for me. Luckily someone handed in the passport and her husband drove me there to pick it up, meaning we were just in time to catch our ferry on to Rhodes that day. Phew! Thanks to you both for a wonderful stay.

Lovely Central Hotel

Reviewed By MartinDee

A beautiful building right beside the church tower at the centre of the town. Room was a reasonable size and beautifully appointed. A small balcony looked out over the square in front of the tower where tour groups often stop but it is generally very quiet, set back a couple of blocks from the harbour. Reception was welcoming and helpful. Full range of toiletries and slip-ons as well as antiseptic gel. I was only here for a night having already spent four nights in an apartment overlooking the stunning harbour so this was a pleasant change. Ideal for a short stay but worth looking at harbour view apartments if you are staying longer.
