Reviewed By CirenPeterSadly this location was a disappointment. That is down to my own mistake in misunderstanding what I was seeing when I looked at the hotel on-line. Having chosen many hotels on-line over the years, I am usually confident when choosing a hotel but I got this one wrong. Nothing was incorrectly described at all - I just misinterpreted what I was reading and what I saw in the photographs. The bedroom itself was large enough with French Doors (only entrance) out on to our small terrace and a communal garden occupied by many weekend visitors, who were a bit close for my comfort and a bit invasive on our space. Just not what I am used to and wanted - but NOT mis-described in the hotel description in any way! The bathroom was tiny and felt dingy with poor lighting. The shower worked but the shower handle was badly broken. There was no wardrobe or chest of drawers. No bar, communal space or breakfast room was a disappointment - but my mistake. Nothing misleading in the description. Our Sat Nav made this a very difficult hotel to find, however once on the correct road the hotel was perfectly well sign-posted. All in all not the standard I expected and normally can judge from on-line description - this is just one i mis-judged!

La Sorgente is a family business situated in the Pisan hills, from where can be easily reached the most important cities of art in Tuscany like Florence, Pisa, Volterra, Siena and Lucca. You’ll be received in 9 comfortable apartments, built following the typology of the old country houses, with 2/6 places, independent entrances, little garden, external terrace, air condition and all the modern comfort. Avalaible also a barbeque and free access to free internet wi-fi. In the heart of our place there is a traditional restaurant - pizzeria with home made bread, pasta, dessert and a wine selection. It offers lunch, dinner and events with traditional Tuscan food. The restaurant has a large hall and on summer an external area facing on the swimming pool.

The B&B is in an old country house dating back to the end of the '800 and retains traditional architectural elements. The room we offer are two, both with own bathroom and entrance. The first own is been made out from the old wine cellar and can host up to 4 people, the other one is a brand-new matrimonial and panoramic room up for 2 people, both of them are furnished with family furniture from the thirties. We offer the use of the wood-fire oven too. The outdoor space includes a relax spot among the olive trees. We offer our guests breakfast and other meals cooked entirely with organic and bio-dynamic products, or coming from our garden and from our orchard, which are grown without chemicals. We offer our bicycles and our private parking lot for free. In the surrounding land we placed some botanical path on wild food plants, herbs, fruit plants and the synergic garden. We believe in a natural, informal and warm welcome.

Reviewed By Gaya KWe stayed for 11 days at the B&B and had a really good time. Got a very warm welcome by the owners and we felt at home instantaneously. Great breakfast in the mornings with fresh fruit, tea, and coffee. Located quite close to a lot of great towns to visit. Got a lot of tips for places to visit. The place has a few cat hanging around, which we loved. Would recommend very one to go and stay in this place

XVIII century estate ,the Villa San Giorgio and farm house,charming 19 apartments tuscanian style, suitable for 2 to 8 persons, olive growe, a big panoramic pool, tennis court, parking area, Restaurant ,nearby to Pisa airport (20 min) as well as to the most important art cities of Tuscany such Pisa, Florence, Siena, Lucca, Volterra and San Gimignano. The estate consist in an XVIII sec. Villa San Giorgio and the farm house.
The lovely Sylvia made the trip worth while!
Reviewed By SorslettWe were 3 families traveling together. Clean, well lit and close to the places we wanted to visit. Rooms: the standards on the apartments varied some. We rented one of the bigger ones (nr 8) which didn’t have any mosquito netting on the windows in the living room. This resulted in us having a rather interesting mini zoo in the kitchen and living room which also resulted in us paying for a 3 bedroom apartment but could only use 2 (since no one dared sleep on the couches in the living room). The apartment had space for 8 ppl but only knives and forks for 4. Then again we had 12 Prosecco glasses :) Meals and drinks: Excellent simple dishes which pleased everyone in our group from the age of 4 to 44. Outdoor area: Nice swimming pool with an excellent view of the sunset. The kids had a brilliant time there. Just outside the dining area they have a ping pong and soccer table our kids used frequently. Service: The one thing pushing this from “bad/average” to “quite good” is the service, and especially the service provided by Sylvia. She helped us on many occasions with reservations, travel tips etc. (in the mornings when I sat outside the reception working online, she passed me a steaming hot americano with a bright smile and a “good morning”!) Oh, and the WiFi could have had a better radius. Don’t get me wrong, I love the americanos, but since we didn’t even have cell reception in the apartment, I would really love to have WiFi.

Our fully restored farmhouse offers 5 holiday apartments, spread between the ground floor and the 1st floor. "Tenuta Il Pino", with its vineyards, olive groves and fruit plantations, covers an area of 8 hectares and offers a classic Tuscan experience in perfect harmony with nature. Surrounded by the typical picturesque scenery of the enchanting Tuscan countryside of rolling green hills and vales, is the Agriturismo Tenuta Il Pino, located in the middle of a park with trekking paths, idyllic picnic areas, a pavilion and a barbeque grill area for enjoying outdoor living in natural surroundings. There is also a mini football pitch (calcetto), a swimming pool with children's pool (both fenced) and a children's playground area available. The famous spa village of Casciana Terme is within easy reach, just 4 km away. Pisa is just a 20-25 minute drive by car and Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca and the beach are all within 40-45 minutes drive away.
