Chancet Wood

We love this walk between meadow head and bocking lane. Most of the solid paths are always dry due to the tree cover. It's a really nice walk with a couple of paths that branch off to different exits. There is a lovely stream that flows through the bocking lane side. It's really good for dog lovers and never very busy.

We walked the chancet wood part of the round walk from chesterfield road to bocking lane. It's a great walk fairly flat apart from the beginning and end the paths are firm and clean. It's good for dogs and cyclist and even jogging.A really nice walk and great to see the bluebells.

Usually bike around Renishaw, Rother Valley, Poolsbrook and Chesterfield and it is a lovely trail in all weathers. Most of the path is on good surfaces and is accessible to people of all ages and disabilities. It can all be walked or cycled on and a lot of it can be used by horse riders.

Five Weirs Walk

Reviewed By AlexSwallow - Sheffield, United Kingdom

We loved this walk- we set off from the centre of town (the 'spider' bridge is one of the highlights) and were amazed by the amount of wildlife we saw- from swallows that we got particularly excited about (note my surname!), to ducklings- and my wife even caught a glimpse of a kingfisher. There are a lot of info boards along the route explaining the area's industrial past, while many were written in an incredibly boring style, it still gave an insight into how much everything has changed. Towards the end of the route we made a slight detour to IKEA and then joined it back again, all the way to the end at Meadowhall. Thanks to everyone who invested in and maintains this walk, it is a joy for the city.

Sheffield and Tinsley Canal Trail

Reviewed By Edward02 - Rotherham, United Kingdom

We decided to walk from home to Ikea. We walked into town then along the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal. We have done the walk along the river several times. It is an interesting walk and generally the paths were good-one or two very muddy patches. Only saw a few people. Really pleased we did the walk. We caught the tram back-a lovely start to 2020.
