Siem Reap's only nature trails wind through semi-evergreen forest where rare Indochinese silvered langur populations are known to live. Easy to walk, the trails start and end at the same location: Preah Ang Thom village. Local rangers accompany your group and share their knowledge of the forest. You can combine a walk on the trails with other sites in Kulen, such as a visit to the waterfall.
Definite worthwhile experience to see a different part of Cambodia ( ie landscape ) and see the origins of the Khmer empire. We did the reclining Buddha first before heading down to the river and the 1000 lingas, ending off with the two waterfalls. In hindsight we should of done it in the reverse order as from about midday things get very busy. So depending on your preference of which you’d like to see with least tourists then start with that in mind. Hired a taxi from Siem Reap which was convenient and inexpensive. By Tuk-tuk wouldn’t be incredibly dusty.
