We had (family, five persons, a lot of experience using vip-services) a private tour from Porto to Douro wine-area, especially to Pinhao area and there winetasting, lunch and river-tour by boat. Our driver and guide was Joao Frade. Excellent service, a lot of information and good English skills. I recommend strongly. Hole daytrip was all worth of money in a reasonable price.

We picked up our car and once we were surgically implanted, we were off! We followed the pre destined GPS route. What fun, but not for the faint hearted driver! From the looks and expressions from pedestrians and other drivers, you would think that we had just landed from the planet Zod! We felt like minor celebrities! But do not be put off - electric cars are the future for city Travel! Next came lunch at Chez Lapin. Food was great, plenty of it and the staff were attentive. The boat trip was informative and relaxing and the visit to the Port Museum (and subsequent glass) gave a glimpse into a bygone age. Tremendous value for money.

Ricardo’s tour was excellent. He took four of us in his car, and we had a very comfortable ride throughout the day. He was able to answer all our questions about the Douro and chose an excellent location for us to have lunch. Our lunch was one of the best we had during our stay in Porto. The Douro was beautiful, even though it was rainy throughout the day. Everything went smoothly as we travelled from one place to the next. We would definitely recommend this tour over a larger group tour.
