I can not recommend this place highly enough!! i just happened to be passing today it was a gorgeous day corlea is on my doorstep but I never made the time, maybe it took a pandemic to realise the treasures within our own locality..2000 yrs ago or thereabouts our ancestors laid a trackway ...across a bog ..luckily the bog preserved it .. and through a lot of ingenuity we can go and see it 2000 yrs later...how cool and amazing..I want to thank our guide Noel ..its an absolute privilege to be in the company of someone who is so passionate about our history and immense gratitude to all who worked to preserve this treasure...????

St Mel's Cathedral

You don't have to be a practising catholic to appreciate this gem. The rebuilding of this cathedral has provided a showcase for so many fabulous artists and artisans so if you are near come and enjoy the beautiful stucco celing, stain glass windows, tabernacle, pipe organ to mention but a few. It really is proof that our modern day artists/artisans are every bit as gifted as those of the past when they get an opportunity and the funding to display their talents. Don't miss it.

Skellys Bar

Reviewed By davidbR9385UZ - Booterstown, Ireland

You enter the old front shop where there ISA blazing fire to you right. You climb the three steps to the back bar where an enormous hearth shelters a big wood burning stove. There is arangeof craft beers as well asallthe usual bar offerings. Scrubbed tables with alcoves for Adi’s fete pint or bar food. Behind this room is a more modern dining room and also aprivatefunctionroom The menu is limited but everything is freeh and tastes that way! The service is informal, friendly and laidback. The menu is good value, although the steaks, while excellent are a little pricey.
