Named for the freed slaves that helped build the port town, Libreville has grown into an elegant and wealthy capital city since Gabon gained independence in 1960. The seafront boulevard is lined with expensive hotels and stores, while the Louis quarter is known for its stylish clubs, restaurants and bars. Pointe Denis, accessible by a short boat ride, is a resort island with some of the area's best beaches. The Sibang Arboretum, just outside the city, showcases the country's unique flora.

Wow. Just wow. This was obviously a private house but now a delightful boutique hotel. The room I had was large, had balcony overlooking the sea, nice, well presented and clean. Bed is comfortable, view delightful and food is frankly superb. Haven't eaten decent French fayre like this since I last visited Paris in 2019. This is a fabulous place to relax and enjoy. I hope if I visit Gabon again I will be able to stay. Staff so friendly and helpful without being overwhelming. Rare that I find hotels I would happily return to. This is one of them.

Reasonable accommodation

Reviewed By davestly

I stayed for a couple of nights, mainly because it was easy to book online and I managed to find it on the map. As usual, Tripadvisor location is wrong and hell will freeze over before it is corrected, but booking.com has it spot on. It is in a quiet residential area. The accommodation is basic and the rooms very small and a bit dark. Rooms are air conditioned. They are clean enough though and the beds are comfortable. The staff are all helpful. Food was pretty good. Breakfast is basic with a choice of croissants, omelette and so on. Wifi worked well. The small pool looks OK if you need that. Parking is available outside in the street.

Extremely unfriendly! Small rooms. Not nice!

Reviewed By stinainafrica

The people working there are very, very unfriendly, even rude. We had the most awful experience here! The room is very small and very noisy! Everything looks run down. Nobody was there, which gives an unpleasant feeling. The hotel is very hard to find. Not any taxi driver knew where it was. And the location on the map is. not correct.
