The 6 Best Arenas & Stadiums in Manchester, England

July 29, 2021 Carley Gatson

Famed for its soccer team and music scene, which has produced the likes of the Smiths and Oasis, this center for sports and the arts is a down-to-earth and friendly city. The so-called Capital of the North has overcome industrial decline, bombing (in WWII and by the IRA) to become a confident and cosmopolitan city of well over two million. It is well served by a bus and light rail network. Top attractions include the Lowry art complex, arcade Affleck's Palace and Canal Street gay village.

We had a tour of the stadium but the highlight was the friendliness of staff. Ian, Hassan, Matt and the tour guide Cameron Cameron was very experienced, friendly and answered all my son's questions My 9 year old loved the tour and as a Man City fan, this day will be a highlight for a long time. Thank you so much Man City staff for making my son's day.

Manchester Greyhound Stadium Belle Vue

What makes the best nights out? Laughs that just won’t quit, great food, drink and racing entertainment with good friends; nights where you come home fizzing - from all the excitement of an evening spent in an atmosphere so electric it crackles. Nights that get talked about! Fancy one of those nights? Good: Because you’re in the right place. Manchester’s Greyhound Stadium is what you’d expect ... and a whole lot of what you wouldn’t. It’s a magic combination that conjures up one of the city’s biggest nights out. In fact, it’s quite probably, one of Manchester’s greatest nights out. Partying, celebrating, a night with friends, dining in the restaurant or entertaining in the suites – whatever night is your night - you’re going to love the dogs.

Went to the dog track Saturday night as it was my birthday weekend away. Prebooked our table and wine. I even asked for a nice table near the finish line. On arrival met by the door shown to our table with the wine already there nice and chilled and happy birthday on the table again a very nice touch thank you. A lady called STELLA looked after us she was great very professional and nothing was too much trouble. 5star service. The food was a lot better than expected thank you to the chef . The venue itself is very dated and the roof looks like it might fall down anytime but we had a great night thanks to all the staff thanks to Jean who took our bets also the guys running up and down getting the drinks. Great night thank you.
