The hotel, the staff, the service, the food, the cleanliness, the views, the pool, the gardens, the resident cats, the endless sounds of nature make this, the place to stay. Massive thank you to Mr Yannis restaurant manager, Yannis restaurant head, Maria head waitress, Yannis on the front desk, Kosta at the blue sea pool bar, Giorgio in the lounge bar, DJ and Zumbaring instructor Wacko,Popi the smiley photographer, aego spa manager Iffy and finally the best masseuse Droftei Ioan. But most of all i will call the names of the girls from the Spa, Evangelia, Erofili, Theodora, jessica, Lambis. for the special attention. Reviewed By 4everHolidayMy mother convinced me to visit Horizon, her favorite vacation place in Europe. She said she never found a place as friendly to holidaymakers as here. She returns there 2-3 times a year. She was 100% right The hotel almost "hangs" by the sea. It is a paradise for swimmers. The water is so clean that boats bring tourists for snorkeling trips. After all, it is the Cretan Riviera. The food is very plentiful and varies frequently. Original Greek dishes, including Cretan, but also traditional food. Most products are from Crete, very healthy and delicious. The entire hotel staff tries very hard to make sure that everyone is happy. This apparently affects guests as well, because guests are very friendly and nice. The rooms were clean, linen and towels were changed frequently. The hotel has swimming pools for adults and children, a water park, sun loungers and umbrellas. Outside the covid period, Greek evenings were organized. Everyone will find something to do there . I recommend this hotel especially to sea lovers, people enjoying fresh air and healthy food.

Reviewed By Scaswell120We were a party of 8 adults staying. We arrived at 1.30am and were firstly led into the restaurant where food and drink was available, which was very welcome. Rooms very basic had a fridge and hairdryer but no kettles. Housekeeping was hit and miss, we had to ask for towels and toilet paper which hadn't been replenished. This did arrive quickly. Pool area was nice, clean and plenty of sunbeds, there was a no reservation rule but we never saw this enforced. Buffet style food which was okay, all inclusive drinks were mainly local beer, ouzo and raki during the day with the evening bar offering local spirits. Check out was at 12, we left at 8pm and still had access to all facilities. Hotel was full when we left so we were unable to book a late check out. There was no curtesy room to get a shower though after checking out which did effect the last day and would make a big difference to those leaving on a late flight.
