Brilliant hover service and only a 10 minute journey to the island . The crossing was a bit choppy but we got there safe and sound , the return journey was smoother due to better weather conditions.

You have got to travel this line ASAP, it’s due to close soon. Even if you aren’t a transport enthusiast you’ll be fascinated by this miniature British Rail line. Traveling for just over 8 miles from Ryde to Shanklin in 1938 former London underground trains its cheaper and better than the roller coaster at a theme park. The main service is 2 trains an hour but check the times before you travel, it may be off on weekend for engineering work.

I have used this taxi service for several years and have consistently been impressed by the helpfulness of the driver, including on a couple of occasions being directed to an alternative taxi company when he was unavailable at short notice. There are certainly larger taxi companies on the Island but I'm pleased to support a small company that is working hard to provide an excellent service.
