Les Peres Nature

Living just south of the border, there is not much in the way of gourmet food shopping. The selection, quality and variety at Les Peres Natures is as good or better than a Manhattan gourmet shop. The freshly made breads are better than any I have found in Quebec. There are also two restaurants, one is more formal and one is a market style restaurant which I love. Have never tried the formal side because it is quite pricey. A true foodie could easily spend a couple of hours browsing all of the fascinating tins, bottles and boxes of food from around the world. Don't miss!

Parc de l'Ile-Pozer

Plenty of bike and walking paths all along the river. Plenty of benches as well as various Bridges linking different sides of the river. Wifi found nearby which was a bonus. Plenty of interesting art sculptures displayed which I suspect rotate and really add to the local flavor of this terrific park.

Parc des Sept-Chutes

Reviewed By Mark_and_Neida - Lancaster, PA

We drove north to do a little Geocaching and sightseeing while we were staying in Jackman. To make an afternoon of it, park in the lot on Avenue de la Chaudière and visit Parc Veilleux and Parc de l'Île-Pozer, then have lunch across the river at Peres Nature.
The trail to Sept-Chutes is along the southeastern edge of Veilleux, but it's fenced off and inaccessible from the park itself... you have to enter from the street several yards east of the Veilleux entrance. The trail is flat and paved all the way, passing through some nice mixed-species woodland and often alongside the stream that later becomes the falls.
When you get to the park, take the trail up the hill to the right... the climb is easier on the smooth roadway than climbing the steps in the gorge if you take the route that follows the stream. The falls themselves aren't outstanding when compared to some of the Maine falls like Grand or Moxie, but the surrounding area and the variety of falls along the gorge more than make up for the lack of sheer size.
Don't forget your binoculars and a camera!

NRJ Spa Nordique

I’ve only been to the NRJ Nordique Spa once and it was for my wife’s birthday. We started the day by doing the hot, cold, relax cycle as recommended by the staff. Let me tell you, getting into the 0 Celsius water wasn’t easy, but it did absolutely add to the experience. Don’t worry, it that isn’t for you, you’ll still enjoy the rest of the spa. We ended our day with a couple’s massage and the girls were incredible! The layout of the spa in beautiful and the facility is very clean and inviting. Overall, we both enjoyed the spa and agree we’ll be back.

Greeted by friendly staff, this local brewery serves very upscale, creative fare. Very attentive serving staff with a take-home smile. Yam poutine dressed with bacon was indulgent and satisfying. Chicken with blueberry sauce was equally well prepared. Flight of beer offered some new brew tastes. This was only the beginning. Lucky for those who get to Saint Georges or locales; this is a great place.
