Osun ( pronounced; "O'Shoon") is an inland state in south-western Nigeria. Its capital is Osogbo. It is bounded in the north by Kwara State, in the east partly by Ekiti State and partly by Ondo State, in the south by Ogun State and in the west by Oyo State. The state's current governor is Rauf Aregbesola, who was declared as the winner of 2007 election by Appeal Court in Ibadan on 26 November 2010. Ogbeni (Rauf Aregbesola) was also Reelected as Osun's Governor on August 9, 2014. Osun is home to several of Nigeria's most famous landmarks, including the campus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria's pre-eminent institution of higher learning. The university is also located in the ancient town of Ile-Ifẹ, an important early center of political and religious development for Yoruba culture. Other important cities and towns include the ancient kingdom-capitals of Oke-Ila Orangun, Ila Orangun, Ijebu-Jesa, Ede, Iwo, Ejigbo, Modakeke, Ibokun, Ode-Omu, Ifetedo, Esa-Oke, Ilesa and Igbajo.

What a pristine Landmark preserved to perfection. The scultures and grounds are beautiful it was a pleseant beautiful walk through beautiful forest with gorgeous monkeys leading the way.
It was a spritial high and a great chance to meditate and connect with the energies in the space. You get a historical tour from a docent guide who gives you a historical narrative of the grounds. A most see space if you in Nigeria.

This was exceptional. It's a national heritage worth visiting. It's about 4 hours from the city of Lagos and easy to get to by road. The waterfall is majestic and marvellous. It's about thrill. Inexpensive to visit. A dat trip is just fine. My advice is to leave lagos early and spend as much time as possible and head home in good time.

Oduduwa was the first Ooni (King of Ile-Ife) which is said to be the origin of the yorubas. The groove and site is a great historical and educational site. A local chief resides at the site and is ever willing to fill visitors with stories about the days of yore.

My experience at the famous Erin Ijesha Waterfall still lingers in my hearts of hearts. I traveled down in company of friends on a road trip and I wasn't disappointed.
I've never seen or heard of such waterfall anywhere else upon the face of the globe.
Erin-Ijesha waterfall is unique in it's own sense as it is seven Waterfalls cascaded upon each other. It takes an average healthy man an hour 30 minutes to climb the seven Waterfalls cascaded into one.
I cannot described all in here but a visit wil convince you.

Nike Centre for Art and Culture is where training is offered free of charge to all Nigerians in various forms of arts; painting, batik, dance, study of sculpture, theatre, quilting and more. The centre was originally a safe haven for disadvantaged women and young adults, and has trained over 3000 Nigerians who are now earning a decent livings.

I visited Nike Arts in January, 2016 with my girlfriend and we had fun. Most importantly were the quality of craftsmanship that went into their designs.
Having said that, I will advise that you visit weekdays and on Saturday as they do not open for business on Sunday.
There are good restaurants around this centre and beautiful hotels like the Leisure Springs Hotels, Royal Spring Hotels, etc.
Ultimately, it was an exciting experience I'd love to have over and over again.
