Always wanted to tee it up at Balfour and finally did the past week, what a view what a course and what layout. the course was in excellent shape considering it had recently been punched. Anytime you have a few hours to spare tee it up,you won't be disappointed,even with a bad score.

Big ferry, very efficient staff in loading and unloading. A very enjoyable and picturesque ride. Would be nice if they had ice cream cones in the coffee shop, but the ice cream bar was okay.

Great campground, excellent park. Great mountain biking less than a kilometre away, two sandy beaches with shallow entry for kids & toddlers, salmon-spawning to watch (mid-Aug onward), a variety of hiking experiences (from easy to challenging), nearby Nelson for great restaurants and shops (many independents to enjoy supporting), gorgeous Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park for a day trip, Balfour Ferries to Crawford Bay also a hop, skip & jump away... it's an ideal location. The campground was well run. Everything was super clean. The other campers were respectful and it was quiet at night. Our family enjoyed the varied programming every day/evening at the local nature centre. Two thumbs up.
