Toll road a bit pricey during the summer at £4.50 but you can park there for the day. Lovely walks across the burrows and can be very scenic on a clear day.

The Champ

Quaint old fashioned music pub in the heart of the North Devon village of Appledore. Quirky, soulful, BYO food. Good beer, wines and spirits - other beverages are available.

Loved this pub, great atmosphere and always a friendly welcome. It was our local while down for the week. We were lucky enough to visit when Denise was doing meals and we weren’t disappointed. She’s an absolute gem, she made us feel so at home along with the other lad (I’m so sorry we didn’t get his name). I really hope we get a chances to visit again sometime.
